Escape to Marsden for a smaller Chill Rally at the hillside cricket club. Enjoy Colne Valley views, walks towards Butterley Reservoir and the Wessenden Valley, and evenings at the club bar.
Join us at Marsden Cricket Club from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 March 2027 for a relaxed Chill Rally in the Colne Valley. The cricket ground sits high above Marsden at Hemplow, with lovely views of the surrounding hills. It forms part of a 70-acre sporting area that also includes golf, tennis and bowling facilities. Nearby Butterley Reservoir and the Wessenden Valley make this a great spot for a weekend outdoors. Bring your walking boots and explore the village and surrounding moorland at your own pace. If you fancy a longer walk, the National Trust’s Wessenden Valley route passes Butterley Reservoir and continues past three more reservoirs. Or take it easy with Marsden’s cafés, pubs and restaurants before heading back to the club. The cricket club bar will be open on Friday and Saturday evening, giving everyone a chance to catch up after a day exploring. With space for just 20–25 vans, it’s a smaller weekend to enjoy your own way. Dogs and children are welcome.
